Laura wanted to replace the existing kitchen with a lighter, more practical contemporary design. Creating additional worktop space was especially important for the family’s everyday routine.
The proposed solution relocated the sink to the window wall, freeing more of the main worktop run for food preparation and general use. This required new plumbing alongside changes to sockets and appliance connections.
A two-tone Salarno kitchen was selected to introduce visual contrast while retaining the bright, spacious appearance requested during the survey. Dark base and tall units were paired with lighter wall cabinetry, while quartz worktops provided the durable, easy-to-maintain surface needed for a busy family home.
The existing kitchen was completely removed before the plumber and electrician completed the necessary first-fix work. This included preparing the new sink position, relocating sockets and arranging connections for the appliances.
Once the services were ready, the new cabinetry was installed. The sink was positioned beneath the window, with the two-tone units arranged to provide better storage and more practical worktop space.
The quartz worktops were then measured and fitted. Final plumbing and electrical connections completed the installation, including the sink and appliances.
The work progressed smoothly from start to finish, with no significant problems or delays. Detailed drawings, regular updates and clear communication kept Laura informed throughout the project.
The completed kitchen delivers the bright, contemporary appearance requested at the survey stage. Dark cabinetry adds depth and definition, while light wall units and quartz worktops keep the compact room feeling open.
