Our client, Miss Lavelle, wanted to transform her existing kitchen and dining room into one open space that flowed beautifully and felt warm, bright, and welcoming. Her dream design combined practical family living with a touch of sparkle, using quartz worktops and porcelain floor tiles for a high-end finish.
The previous layout left the dining area feeling cold and disconnected, so our goal was to create a cohesive open-plan design that brought the rooms together.
This was a full kitchen renovation, including structural work to remove a wall and fit an RSJ beam to open up the space.
Our process included:
Rip-out & Structural Work: Joiners and labourers removed the old kitchen and fitted the RSJ to create an open plan.
Electrical & Plumbing First Fix: Working from the design plan, sockets and lighting were positioned precisely. Plumbing feeds were moved to new locations.
Plastering: Ceilings were re-boarded and all walls freshly skimmed.
Kitchen Installation: The Neves painted kitchen range was installed with stone worktops, integrated appliances, and a matching splashback.
Flooring & Decoration: The tiler fitted porcelain floor tiles throughout, followed by full painting and decorating.
Final Fix: Electrical and plumbing connections were completed, bringing the project to a perfect finish.
We encountered a minor challenge confirming the correct steel size for the RSJ, due to the length of the exterior wall. Extra structural advice was sought to ensure complete safety and compliance before installation — guaranteeing a strong, lasting result.
The finished kitchen is a light, open, and functional space with plenty of storage, excellent workflow, and a beautiful modern finish. The crisp colour palette, combined with quartz sparkle and porcelain flooring, perfectly reflects the client’s vision.
Miss Lavelle especially loved the quality of the kitchen doors, the smooth project management, and how every detail was taken care of from start to finish.
