🛁 Top 5 Bathroom Design Trends for 2025 in Wirral & Chester Homes
Is your bathroom ready for a refresh in 2025? Whether you live in a traditional Chester townhouse or a modern Wirral new-build, staying ahead of design trends can help create a stylish, practical space that feels like your own personal sanctuary.
At Shore Fit Kitchens & Bathrooms, we’ve identified the top 5 bathroom design trends that homeowners in Wirral and Chester are loving this year — and how to make them work in your space.
1. 🚿 Walk-In Showers & Wet Rooms
Clean, open, and modern — walk-in showers are a top choice for both style and accessibility. In Chester, we’re seeing more homeowners opt for frameless glass panels, tiled floors, and subtle drainage to create a seamless wet-room effect.
Why it’s trending:
Easier to clean and maintain
Ideal for smaller bathrooms
Adds a luxury, hotel-style feel
💡 We often recommend walk-ins for family homes in Wirral where space can be maximised with clever layout planning.
2. ⚫ Black Fixtures & Brass Accents
Brushed gold and matt black taps, towel rails, and shower frames are dominating 2025. These finishes contrast beautifully with light or neutral tiles, giving a bathroom a bold, contemporary edge.
Where we see this locally:
In modern Chester homes, black fixtures are used to add drama. In Wirral period properties, brass offers a warmer, more classic feel.
Pro tip: Pair with minimalist white tiling or microcement walls for a sleek look.
3. 🌿 Natural Finishes & Earthy Palettes
Bathrooms are becoming more calming and connected to nature. This trend includes:
Wood-effect tiles
Textured stone basins
Warm terracotta or olive green walls
Indoor plants (yes, even in the bathroom!)
This is a great fit for Chester’s older properties or Wirral’s seaside homes, where homeowners want a natural, grounded feel.

4. ✨ Spa-Style Lighting & Mood Features
Lighting is no longer just practical — it’s an experience. Spa-style bathrooms in 2025 feature:
LED strip lights under vanities or baths
Dimmer switches for mood control
Warm white task lighting
Mirror lights with built-in demisters
🧖 Perfect for transforming a Chester en-suite or a Wirral master bath into a retreat at home.

5. 🚽 Wall-Mounted Toilets & Floating Vanities
Modern bathrooms are all about clean lines and uncluttered space. Wall-mounted toilets and floating vanities help create this feel — and they also make cleaning easier!
These features work especially well in narrow Chester bathrooms or compact Wirral ensuites, where space-saving matters.
